Diplomas

The name on your diploma is the primary name on your student record at the time of graduation. Verify your name several months prior to graduation (by the end of February for May graduates) on Student Center. Learn more about name changes.

May Graduates — Following commencement in May, college registrars retain diplomas for approximately two weeks. If you did not receive your diploma at commencement, you may pick it up at your college registrar office during this period.

On the second Monday following commencement, diplomas that have not been distributed are returned to the Office of the University Registrar to prepare them for mailing to your home address beginning in early July.

If we have to re-order your diploma for the addition of honors, it will be available for mailing by mid-August.

May Graduates Law School — Your diploma will be mailed to you by the Office of the University Registrar. It will not be available from the Law School Registrar's Office. Please update your home address in the Student Center before you leave campus to ensure that you receive your diploma.

August and January Graduates — Diplomas for August graduates will be mailed to your home address beginning in late October. Diplomas for January graduates will be mailed to your home address beginning in late March.

Please update your home address in Student Center before you leave campus to ensure that you receive your diploma.

If you have a hold that prevents the release of your diploma, we cannot send you your diploma until the hold is cleared.  Log-in to Student Center to check your holds.

We ship diplomas via postal mail.
